Refund & Cancellation Policy
Please review how refunds, cancellations, service fees, fare changes and provider rules may apply to rail ticket and rail reservation assistance.
Refund Policy
Most rail tickets, rail reservations, promotional fares, special fares, and service fees may be non-refundable, non-transferable, or subject to provider rules. Refund eligibility depends on the applicable rail provider, fare type, ticket conditions, cancellation timing, route, travel date, and whether the journey has already started.
My Rail Ticket provides independent rail reservation assistance. We do not control the final refund decision. Refund approval, denial, timing, and amount are determined by the applicable travel service provider, rail operator, payment processor, or other provider involved in the reservation.
Refund Requirements
A refund request may require all of the following conditions to be satisfied:
- The request must comply with the rail provider or travel service provider refund rules.
- The passenger must not be marked as a “no-show.”
- The ticket or reservation must be eligible for refund, cancellation, or change under the provider’s rules.
- The request must be approved by the travel service provider, rail operator, or relevant provider.
- Required passenger, ticket, payment, and reservation details must be accurate and complete.
Refund Request Process
After receiving a refund or cancellation request, we may provide a request reference or tracking ID and forward the request to the applicable provider where required. Processing time depends on the provider, payment method, fare type, verification requirements, and the complexity of the request.
If the provider rejects the refund, My Rail Ticket cannot override that decision. Where applicable, only refundable provider-approved amounts may be returned. Service fees, assistance fees, processing fees, convenience fees, or support charges may be non-refundable unless clearly stated otherwise.
Cancellations and No-Show Status
Cancellation rules vary by ticket type, route, provider, and time of cancellation. Some tickets must be cancelled before scheduled departure to remain eligible for refund or change. If the passenger does not travel and does not cancel within the required time, the ticket may be treated as a no-show and may lose refund value.
Fare Changes
Rail fares, reservation availability, taxes, fees, schedules, and provider conditions may change without notice. If a fare changes before the reservation is completed or confirmed, we will inform you when possible. You may then choose whether to continue with the updated fare or cancel the request.
My Rail Ticket is not responsible for fare increases, schedule changes, provider-imposed changes, sold-out inventory, or changes that occur before final confirmation.
Payments
We may accept major credit or debit cards where payment is required for eligible services. A verified billing address and accurate payment details may be required. Providing payment-card information does not guarantee that a booking, ticket, refund, or cancellation has been confirmed.
Declined cards, failed payments, verification delays, fraud-risk checks, or additional security review may delay or prevent completion of a reservation or refund request. If payment is declined, the same fare or ticket availability may not remain available later.
Baggage Policy
Baggage rules are set by the applicable rail provider and may vary by route, class, ticket type, destination, equipment, and provider policy. Travelers should verify current baggage limits, restricted items, oversized baggage rules, and special item requirements directly before travel.
Service Fees
Service fees may apply for bookings, reservation assistance, support requests, changes, cancellations, refund handling, or other assistance provided through My Rail Ticket. Fees may vary and may change without notice. Users are responsible for applicable taxes, provider charges, fare differences, penalties, and additional costs connected with their request.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, service fees charged for completed assistance may be separate from provider charges and may be non-refundable.
